Using dual silicon detectors these particulate monitors are compact and light weight to allow them to function locally next to the respiratory tract of workers. A processing algorithm provides a dynamic compensation of radon and thoron solid progenies. Operating costs are minimized through unattended operation, using of a continuous filter and an on-line spectroscopy capability.
